The new HBO movie, Empire Falls starring Paul Newman, Ed Harris, Joanne Woodward and Helen Hunt will be filming in Maine this Fall. Lynne McGhee has been hired for extra work in several scenes to be shot this September. The movie is based on the prize winning book by Richard Russo.

You will be able to catch Lynne doing cabaret/open mike nights at The Roxy in Portland beginning in September. Lynne will be performing happy hour one night per week and booking talent for 2 other nights. Stop in for a drink and a song! Thursday through Saturday from 5pm till 8!

Lynne will be working with the Portland (Oregon) Symphony Orchestra's educational program. Lynne will be providing scripts in a program similar to The PSO's Kinderkonzert Program. Lynne is very excited to be involved with such a wonderful organization.

Speaking of the Symphony! Lynne will begin a second season as the Portland Symphony Orchestra’s Kinderkonzert host and new this year, the script writer as well. These educational shows are geared for kids K-2nd grade and are a wonderful way to indroduce the beautiful sounds of orchestral instruments to kids. Lynne will also be singing in another pops concert (last year she sang with Tony winner Debbie Gravitte). Be sure to hear her on January 24 and 25 in A Broadway Tribute to Cole Porter and Stephen Sondeheim, directed by Brian P.Allen.
